Drive from Cairns through the coastal road and Battlecamp to Rinyirru, on Cape York, a hidden gem few get to experience. The park opens after the wet season, with the best fishing for Barramundi beginning in April and lasting through October.

Yes, there are salties and snakes, which keep you on your toes, but walking in the true wild is what this experience is all about.

From your camp, we will explore the surrounding park, fishing some simply epic country. This will involve casting lures or flies from the bank, fishing primarily at snags where Barramundi love to hide.

This is fishing in the wild, and this exclusive adventure offers access to the most untouched, wild areas of Rinyirru NP, with no more than two anglers per trip. Whether you're a seasoned fisherman or a beginner, this is your chance to connect deeply with nature, fish, and enjoy the thrill of reeling in that big Barramundi.
